About NTSE

NTSE is one of the most sought-after national level examinations conducted by National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) for Class 10 students. NTSE offers 2000 scholarships for students of class 10th to allow them to pursue courses in the stream of science and social science (for up to doctoral level studies) and professional courses such as engineering and medicine (for up to second-degree level).

The selection for scholarships is done via two stages of examination – Stage 1 (State Level Test) and Stage 2 (National Level Test). All students studying in Class X in any type of recognized school including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Sainik School etc. will be eligible to appear at the State Level Examination from the State in which the school is located. Students can apply for the exam through their respective schools.

Both Stages of exam consists of two parts – MAT (Mental Ability Test) and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) with 100 objective type questions each. There will be no negative marking. SAT will consist of questions from Social Science (40 questions), Science (40 questions) and Mathematics (20 questions). The core areas in MAT are Analogies, Series, Classification, Pattern perception, Hidden figures, Block assembly, Coding-decoding, Problem-solving.

NTSE Training at Mathiit

Mathiit offers comprehensive training for students who are preparing for NTSE examination. Training sessions are available both as classroom sessions and as online classes. There would be 80+ hours of training sessions covering Reasoning (MAT), History, Politics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Additionally, there would be regular weekly mock tests (online).

Classroom sessions will be on Tuesdays and Thurdays (and second saturdays) from 5 pm to 8 pm.
